Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A leading inpatient pharmacy opportunity is available within a prominent Los Angeles County Department of Health hospital. This role is ideal for clinical pharmacists with a strong background in inpatient care who are seeking a pathway to a permanent position in a respected health system. The hospital values candidates with a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) residency, but all qualified pharmacists with approximately two years of inpatient experience are encouraged to apply.

Contract, with a temp-to-hire track
Schedule:
8-hour shifts Flexibility required to work primarily first and second shifts, with occasional third shifts
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient units, ensuring safe and effective medication management Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy Participate in rounds and provide drug information and consultation Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements Prepare for and successfully pass a competency exam as part of the onboarding process
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with active licensure in California PGY1 residency preferred; alternatively, at least two years of current inpatient pharmacy experience Strong clinical knowledge and critical thinking skills Ability to work flexible shifts and function effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment Commitment to patient safety and quality care
