What You Will Do Performs professional functions relating to providing appropriate drug information participating in all clinical programs, dispensing, and compounding of drugs. Has responsibility for drug control within the pharmacy and distribution throughout the hospital. Assists in other areas as directed by the Director of Pharmacy. In the absence of the Director of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Manager, assumes responsibility for the operation of the Pharmacy. Required Qualifications California Pharmacist License

Preferred Qualifications Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Other PGY1 1 Year acute care hospital experience. Experience with controlled substances. Oncology experience (OP Infusion Oncology department only). Other Qualification Requirements ACLS or PhART (Pharmacy Advanced Resuscitation Training), required certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.•

Maintains a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education per license period (2 years), required. Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based safety and infection control requirements. 2. Provides appropriate drug information for all clinical programs. 3. Compound and dispense drugs according to policy. 4. Responsible for drug control and distribution throughout the hospital. 5. Assumes responsibility for the operation of the hospital pharmacy. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have current knowledge of drugs, their actions, availability, and I.V. incompatibility. Be professionally competent in all phases of pharmaceutical care.
