Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A 13-week contract opportunity is open for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in inpatient care. This role involves day shifts with varied start times and 10-hour shifts, providing a dynamic work schedule. The position is located in Paradise, CA, with hospital duties based at a medical center in Chico, CA. The primary responsibility is to deliver expert clinical judgment and pharmaceutical care within the hospital pharmacy, ensuring alignment with the facility's mission and regulatory standards. The pharmacist will actively identify, resolve, and prevent medication-related issues, operating under established protocols and federal and state regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Utilizing professional knowledge to manage and distribute medications safely and effectively. Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Employing clinical judgment to assess and prevent drug-related problems. Maintaining compliance with hospital policies, federal/state laws, and pharmacy standards. Utilizing electronic medical records, specifically EPIC, for accurate medication management.
Qualifications and experience sought:
Current, active Registered Pharmacist license in the State of California. Minimum of one year of hospital experience in an inpatient, decentralized pharmacy setting. Proficiency in pharmacy software and Windows-based computer systems. Strong drug knowledge with demonstrated clinical decision-making skills.
