Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A growing independent pharmacy near Northridge, CA is seeking a part-time pharmacist with expertise in long-term care (LTC) and multi-dose prescription filling. This direct hire opportunity offers a balanced schedule, working every other weekend plus 2-3 days during the week. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and experienced pharmacist who is committed to delivering safe, accurate, and patient-centered pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities:
Dispense and verify prescriptions in compliance with federal and state regulations, ensuring correct dosage, strength, consideration of patient allergies, disease states, drug interactions, and formulary guidelines Provide clinical and therapeutic recommendations to physicians, nurses, and patients as needed Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from client facilities and healthcare providers Oversee pharmacy technicians, supporting workflow accuracy and efficiency Assist with billing and documentation by obtaining and verifying necessary information Receive, sign for, and verify medications and supplies from wholesalers and suppliers Maintain and audit controlled substance records to ensure regulatory compliance Verify and maintain Emergency Kits, confirming product accuracy, expiration dates, and overall condition Support pharmacy safety standards and participate in inspections, surveys, and audits by authorized agencies Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications /Desired Experience:
Current and good standing pharmacy license in California Experience in long-term care pharmacy and multi-dose filling strongly preferred Strong knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lead and support pharmacy staff Detail-focused with strong organizational skillsSchedule:
