Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This position offers an opportunity for a licensed pharmacist to support a healthcare facility in Susanville, CA, providing essential pharmacy services on the night shift. The assignment is a temporary contract, ideal for professionals seeking a manageable workload and a consistent schedule.
Schedule and Location:
Night shift: 7 days on, 7 days off 10-hour shifts Approximate duration: 8 weeks
Location:
Susanville, CA Key Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders and ensure accuracy Provide patient consultation and medication information to staff and customers Maintain compliance with pharmacy rules and regulations Receive medication orders from wholesalers and manage inventory Conduct sterile compounding and medication reconstitution Perform unit dosing and monitor medication expiration dates Carry out audits, billing, and other tasks within the scope of the pharmacist license Supervise pharmacy technician staff to ensure smooth operations Utilize the Cerner order entry system (training provided)
Desired Qualifications:
Valid pharmacist license Experience with medication verification and patient consultation Knowledge of sterile compounding techniques and pharmacy regulations Ability to supervise pharmacy technicians effectively Comfortable working with electronic order entry systems; Cerner experience is a plus, but training is available Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Facility Information:
Licensed for 25 beds with an average daily census of 10 Very low patient volume, making this an easy and manageable assignment This contract role is available for an immediate start and offers a unique chance to work a steady night shift schedule with a supportive team. Interested candidates with a valid pharmacist license are encouraged to apply promptly to secure this opportunity. Compensation for this position ranges from $61.00 to $76.00.
