Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A growing infusion pharmacy is seeking two dedicated Clinical Infusion Pharmacists for direct hire opportunities in Torrance, CA. This full-time, on-site position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., providing a stable and rewarding work environment. The Clinical Pharmacist plays a key role in delivering expert clinical and dispensing services for infusion and specialty medications, with a focus on neurology and oncology therapies. Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying prescriptions, performing thorough clinical assessments, and ensuring optimal medication selection, dosing, and monitoring according to evidence-based guidelines and regulatory standards. The role involves preparing and verifying compounded sterile and non-sterile products, collaborating closely with prescribers and nursing staff, and counseling patients on medication use, potential side effects, and adherence strategies. Additional duties include managing medication inventories, coordinating treatment logistics, documenting clinical interventions, and supporting quality assurance, safety, and compliance initiatives. The Clinical Pharmacist serves as a clinical resource for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals, contributing to continuous quality improvement within the pharmacy team.
Desired qualifications and experience:
Active Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree Current, unrestricted pharmacist license in California Proficiency in compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations per USP and applicable standards Experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, or clinical/hospital pharmacy settings preferred Knowledge of insurance prior authorization, specialty medication reimbursement, and patient assistance programs considered a plus Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient safety and quality care Effective communication skills to collaborate with patients, caregivers, prescribers, and interdisciplinary teams This position utilizes the CareTend system to manage clinical workflows and documentation. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
