Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire Lead pharmacy operations and clinical services as an Infusion Pharmacy Manager for a direct hire position based in Whittier, CA. This role is pivotal in overseeing home-based intravenous therapies, managing sterile compounding, supervising pharmacy staff, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards—all while supporting branch profitability and clinical quality.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Requires schedule flexibility and administrative on-call duties
Key Responsibilities:
Direct daily pharmacy operations, including sterile compounding, IV admixture preparation, dispensing, and inventory control Lead and supervise pharmacists and technicians, managing recruitment, training, performance reviews, and on-call rotations Ensure strict compliance with State Boards of Pharmacy regulations and USP compounding guidelines Collaborate with healthcare providers to maintain clinical excellence in infusion therapies and optimize patient outcomes Participate in budgeting, workflow enhancements, and performance improvement efforts to support business goals
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution Active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in California 3 to 7 years of direct clinical and operational experience in a home infusion or acute care pharmacy setting Strong expertise in IV admixture services, regulatory accreditation, and effective team leadership Experience with CareTend system highly preferred This direct hire opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in home infusion pharmacy care.
