Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract This opportunity is for a Travel Night Pharmacy Technician position based in Gardena, CA, offering an engaging environment in a licensed 173-bed facility with an average daily census of 140. The role operates on a unique 5-on, 5-off schedule with 10-hour night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, providing a balanced work-life rhythm.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately fill and manage Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets Prepare intravenous (IV) medications, including IV piggybacks (IVPB) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN) Deliver medications promptly to nursing units Respond to telephone inquiries with professionalism and clarity Utilize the Order Entry System, with training in Allscripts/Paragon essential Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards within the pharmacy
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Proven inpatient pharmacy technician experience is required Skilled in preparing IVs and managing automated dispensing systems like Pyxis Familiarity with Allscripts and Paragon order entry systems is highly preferred Ability to operate independently during night shifts and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Duration and Location:
