The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations, patient care, and medication management within diverse clinical settings. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring safe, effective, and personalized medication therapy while providing exceptional patient service. Responsibilities Core Responsibilities Dispense prescription medications accurately and safely Patient Care & Customer Service Answer patient questions and provide clinical advice for OTC and prescription products Promote medication therapy management (MTM) and chronic disease support Handle patient concerns, complaints, and insurance-related questions professionally Build strong patient relationships and promote community trust Pharmacy Operations Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations Maintain accurate records, patient profiles, and controlled substance logs Manage inventory, ordering, storage, and expiration of medications Oversee prescription workflow to ensure efficiency and safety Insurance & Administrative Duties Process insurance claims and resolve third-party rejections Communicate with prescribers regarding clarifications, refills, or therapy changes Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance programs Business & Professional Duties Support store performance goals (clinical services, adherence programs, vaccinations) Stay current with continuing education and clinical guidelines Promote pharmacy services and health initiatives in the community Uphold professional ethics and company policies Review prescriptions for appropriateness, interactions, allergies, and contraindications Provide patient counseling on medication use, side effects, storage, and adherence Administer immunizations (e.g., flu, COVID-19, travel vaccines) where authorized Perform basic health screenings (blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, etc.)
