Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications while providing exceptional patient care. Duties Dispense medications accurately while adhering to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance standards and hospital protocols. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies, including IV infusion and aseptic technique procedures. Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication management in specialized units such as ICU, PICU, oncology, and emergency rooms. Provide expert consultation on pharmacotherapeutics, pharmacology, physiology, and anatomy to support patient care plans. Oversee medication preparation and compounding activities, ensuring sterile techniques and drug regulation compliance. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems for documentation, medication reconciliation, and patient data management. Precept pharmacy residents and students while fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Participate in hospital pharmacy operations including medication administration oversight, acute pain management, and post-residency practice refinement. Maintain proficiency with Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS) and hospital pharmacy workflows to enhance efficiency. Support emergency response efforts with ICU experience and emergency room expertise when needed. Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with practicing as a pharmacist certification in the relevant jurisdiction. Extensive clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on hospital medicine, critical care, and managed care environments. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, drug regulation policies, and medication safety standards. Ability to effectively communicate complex medical information clearly to multidisciplinary teams and patients alike. Pay:
$65.00 - $72.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 42.0 per week
