Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Full-Time Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring pharmacy operations run smoothly, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. Your expertise will help optimize medication management, support clinical services, and foster positive patient interactions. Responsibilities Dispense prescriptions accurately while adhering to all state and federal pharmacy laws, including drug regulation and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance. Provide expert patient service by conducting thorough patient assessments, medication reviews, and counseling to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes. Manage pharmacy operations efficiently, including inventory management, medication compounding, and maintaining pharmacy software and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS). Administer immunizations and perform basic life support (BLS) procedures in accordance with healthcare protocols. Collaborate with healthcare teams on medical management plans, pain management strategies, and acute care cases involving pediatrics or hospital settings. Ensure clinical confidentiality policies are strictly followed, including HIPAA compliance and adherence to EHR systems standards. Supervise pharmacy technicians, manage workflow, and lead efforts in aseptic technique and sterile compounding (USP 797 standards). Qualifications Valid pharmacist license in good standing with current practicing credentials. Extensive pharmacy experience across community, LTC (Long-Term Care), or hospital settings with a focus on clinical pharmacy practices. Critical care experience preferred; familiarity with IV infusion/insertion, IV infusion management, and aseptic techniques required. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and drug regulation laws. Proven ability to manage pharmacy teams effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service and patient care. Experience with pharmacy software systems such as EMR (Electronic Medical Records), EHR (Electronic Health Records), and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS). Certifications in immunizations, basic life support (BLS), and familiarity with USP 797 standards are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration within healthcare environments.
