Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities Dispense medications accurately while adhering to pharmaceutical regulations and hospital policies Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapy, including pharmacotherapeutics and physiology considerations Prepare and compound IV infusions using aseptic technique, ensuring sterility and dosage accuracy Collaborate with healthcare providers on medication management plans for critical care units such as ICU, PICU, and emergency rooms Monitor patient responses to medications, adjusting therapy as needed for pain management, oncology treatments, or acute care scenarios Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems and pharmacy information systems (PIS) Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions to promote safe medication administration Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards and participate in quality assurance initiatives such as post-residency training or precepting pharmacy students Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with practicing experience in a hospital or clinical setting Demonstrated expertise in hospital pharmacy operations, including hospital medicine, emergency room, ICU, PICU, and trauma center environments Strong knowledge of pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, drug regulation, and medical terminology Experience with critical care practices such as acute pain management, IV compounding, drug regulation compliance, and oncology treatments Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems and pharmacy information systems (PIS) for medication ordering and documentation Prior experience practicing at Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable Additional qualifications include pharmacy residency completion or post-residency practice experience in acute care settings; precepting or mentoring skills are a plus Join us to make a meaningful difference in patient lives by delivering expert pharmaceutical care in a vibrant hospital environment.
