Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A full-time Pharmacist licensed in Florida is needed to provide professional pharmacy services at a small Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital in Sarasota, FL. This opportunity offers the chance to work independently as the sole full-time pharmacist onsite, serving as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and ensuring pharmacy operations meet all regulatory and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the PIC for the hospital pharmacy, overseeing all pharmacy functions Dispense and verify prescription medications accurately and efficiently Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient medication therapy Manage inventory, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintain documentation Provide drug information and education to healthcare staff and patients

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

Current and active Florida pharmacist license required Experience in a hospital or LTAC setting strongly preferred Demonstrated ability to function independently as PIC Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations, medication safety, and clinical pharmacy practices Excellent communication and organizational skills
