Duties Dispense medications accurately while adhering to pharmaceutical regulations and hospital protocols Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies and monitor responses Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers on pharmacotherapeutics, acute pain management, and specialized treatments such as oncology and critical care Manage IV infusion preparation, aseptic techniques, and sterile compounding to ensure safety and efficacy Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems for documentation, medication reconciliation, and patient data management Provide patient service by educating patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and safety precautions Precept pharmacy residents and students to foster clinical pharmacy experience and professional development Qualifications Valid pharmacist license with current registration in the relevant jurisdiction Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including ICU, Emergency Room, or Level I/II Trauma Center settings Proven expertise in managed care principles and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance Strong knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology Experience with hospital pharmacy information systems (PIS) and EMR/EHR platforms Skilled in IV compounding, aseptic technique, and medication administration across diverse patient populations including pediatrics and oncology patients Demonstrated ability to perform patient care activities such as medication therapy management and patient assessment Post-residency or equivalent clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on acute care or critical care environments Additional experience in pain management, drug regulation, pharmacotherapeutics, and emergency room procedures is highly desirable Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to advancing patient health through expert pharmacy practice.
