Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Staff Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will oversee pharmacy operations, ensure medication safety, and provide exceptional patient care. Your expertise will support clinical decision-making, medication management, and compliance with all regulatory standards. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will foster a patient-centered environment that promotes health and well-being through expert pharmaceutical services. Responsibilities Dispense prescription medications accurately while adhering to all federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations Provide comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies and identify potential drug interactions Manage pharmacy operations including inventory control, medication compounding, and ensuring aseptic techniques for sterile preparations such as IV infusions Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care plans, including pain management, medical management, and pediatrics-specific therapies Lead and manage pharmacy teams, including supervising pharmacy technicians and supporting staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service Ensure compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards such as USP 797 for sterile compounding and HIPAA for patient confidentiality Administer immunizations and provide patient education on medication use, side effects, and health promotion strategies Requirements Valid license to practice as a pharmacist in the respective state or region Extensive pharmacy experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or LTC (Long-Term Care) facilities Demonstrated expertise in clinical pharmacy practices including critical care, pain management, and medical management Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, drug regulation, and healthcare compliance policies Proficiency with Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), EMR systems, and pharmacy software applications Experience with compounding medications using aseptic techniques and managing IV insertions or infusions Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and familiarity with basic medical terminology and pharmacology principles Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and team members while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Join us in delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care that makes a real difference! Pay:
$50.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 40.0 per week
