Responsibilities As part of the Health care team, leads operation and clinical activity of the Pharmacy Staff so as to provide pharmaceutical care. Acts as a professional resource. Serves all patients, including, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescent, adults and geriatrics. This is a leadership position with direct oversight of pharmacists on multiple Medical-Surgical units along with assisting with pharmacist scheduling. Additionally this position is involved in multiple interdisciplinary committees, Quality Improvement and preparedness for Joint Commission/Disease-Specific Care certifications. The lead unit-based pharmacists have rotating 12-hr shifts x 3 days per week. Shifts are Monday-Friday with a mix of staffing, clinical and administrative responsibilities. Qualifications
REQUIRED
Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy. Active Georgia Pharmacist license. Two (2) years clinical pharmacy experience.
PREFERRED
ASHP- Accredited Post Graduate Year 1 and 2 Residency or Fellowship or equivalent experience in the specialty area. Relevant Pharmacy Specialty Board certification is preferred. Previous management experience.
