Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A direct hire opportunity is available for a qualified pharmacist to support our pharmacy services with a focus on patient care and medication safety. This role involves a rotating schedule between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be comfortable working rotating shifts; details will be clarified during the phone screening.

Responsibilities include:

Providing proactive patient counseling and medication education over the phone, addressing inquiries about new prescriptions, refills, side effects, medication adherence, and proper use. Collaborating with prescribers and their offices to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that might delay dispensing. Reviewing and clinically verifying new and refill prescriptions to ensure therapeutic appropriateness, identify drug interactions or contraindications, and confirm dosing accuracy. Performing pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions within a high-volume, closed-door fulfillment environment to ensure accuracy in drug selection, dosage, quantity, and labeling before dispensing. Assisting pharmacy management with prescription receiving, processing, and transferring, owning the transfer process to ensure success from start to finish.

Qualifications:

Active, clear pharmacist license in the state. 0-6 years of pharmacy experience; retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy backgrounds are preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
