Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A direct hire opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist position located in Nampa, ID. This role offers the chance to apply your pharmacy expertise in a high-volume, patient-focused environment supporting safe and effective medication use.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday through Friday Rotating shifts between 6:00 AM and 8:00 PM (candidates must be comfortable with rotating shifts; scheduling details will be discussed during the phone screen)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide proactive patient counseling and medication education via phone, addressing inquiries about new prescriptions, refills, side effects, adherence, and proper medication use Collaborate with prescribers and office staff to clarify prescriptions and resolve clinical issues that may delay dispensing Review and clinically verify new and refill prescriptions for therapeutic appropriateness, drug interactions, contraindications, and dosing accuracy Perform pharmacist verification of filled prescriptions in a closed-door fulfillment setting, ensuring all aspects including drug, dose, quantity, and labeling are accurate prior to dispensing Assist the pharmacy manager with receiving, processing, and transferring prescriptions, managing transfer processes end-to-end for optimal success
Qualifications:
Active pharmacist license in Idaho with a clear standing 0-6 years of pharmacy practice experience, preferably in retail, mail order, or specialty pharmacy settings; new graduates are encouraged to apply This role is ideal for pharmacists excited to contribute clinical expertise while working collaboratively to support patient health outcomes.
