Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A specialized opportunity is available for a Pharmacist to work a unique 7-on, 7-off night shift schedule from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM. This contract position is based in the vibrant city of Chicago and offers a duration of approximately 13 weeks with the potential for extension. The preferred candidate will be ready to begin employment as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify and process medication orders accurately to ensure patient safety Supervise and support pharmacy technicians in daily operations Collaborate closely with physicians and nursing staff to offer expert pharmaceutical consultations Apply pharmacokinetic principles to optimize medication regimens Utilize electronic systems including EPIC and Pyxis for medication management

Qualifications:

Valid pharmacist license with experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records and Pyxis automated dispensing systems Strong clinical judgment and communication skills to provide effective interdisciplinary consultation Ability to work independently during night shifts while managing multiple priorities Comfortable with a 7-day consecutive work schedule followed by 7 days off
