Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract An immediate opportunity is available for a Staff Pharmacist to support inpatient hospital pharmacy operations in Des Plaines, IL. This role focuses on ensuring safe and accurate dispensing of medications while collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense prescription medications to inpatient hospital patients Review medication orders for appropriateness, interactions, and contraindications Provide drug information and counseling to medical staff and patients as needed Maintain compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations Participate in medication therapy management and quality assurance initiatives
Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and standards for inpatient care Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, rotating shifts as required This is a contract position ideal for a pharmacist seeking hands-on experience in a dynamic hospital environment. Flexibility to work hospital shifts and adapt to varying clinical scenarios is essential.
