Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to provide expert pharmaceutical care on a contract basis. This role offers a dynamic 7-on, 7-off schedule with overnight hours, starting as soon as possible for a duration of at least 13 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform accurate order verification to ensure safe medication dispensing Supervise and provide guidance to pharmacy technicians Collaborate and consult with physicians and nurses regarding medication therapies Conduct pharmacokinetic assessments and monitor patient responses to optimize drug regimens Utilize EPIC and Pyxis systems for electronic health records and medication dispensing

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Valid pharmacist license with relevant state credentials Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings preferred Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records and Pyxis medication dispensing system Strong knowledge of pharmacokinetics and clinical patient care Excellent communication and supervisory skills to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
