Qualifications:

Active and clear Illinois pharmacist license Basic knowledge of IV medication handling and preparation

Responsibilities:

Oversee receipt, storage, and distribution of medications, including refrigerated and specialty items Manage medication inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste or expired products Ensure compliance with USP standards and state/federal regulations in medication storage Verify medication orders prior to preparation or shipment Supervise pharmacy technicians in inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping tasks Coordinate with sterile compounding pharmacists and technicians to maintain supply availability for patient orders Review and document controlled substance inventories accurately Conduct cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and quality assurance audits Collaborate with purchasing, nursing, and operations teams to guarantee timely medication delivery Utilize pharmacy software and inventory management systems to monitor supplies This role is ideal for pharmacists who have a strong attention to detail and are comfortable working in a warehouse environment supporting medication distribution operations.
