Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A small, 25-bed hospital in a rural Illinois community is seeking a licensed pharmacist with recent hospital experience to provide dedicated pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit healthcare environment, supporting patient-centered care through expert medication management.
Location:
Macomb, Illinois Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM Possible weekend rotation
Contract Duration:
13 weeks with potential extension
Responsibilities:
Dispense medications accurately and efficiently in a hospital setting Collaborate with medical staff to optimize pharmacotherapy Monitor and support patient medication regimens, including nutritional support and IV therapy as applicable Apply pharmacokinetic principles to ensure safe and effective medication use Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
Active Illinois pharmacist license Minimum of 1 year recent hospital experience, demonstrating practical knowledge in inpatient pharmacy operations Additional training or experience in nutritional support, intravenous (IV) therapy, and pharmacokinetics is highly valued This contract role is ideal for pharmacists seeking to apply hospital expertise in a rewarding rural healthcare environment.
