Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A well-established, closed-door long-term care (LTC) pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join their team in Auburn, KS. This pharmacy specializes in shipping medications to nursing homes, processing between 800-1000 prescriptions daily with a large and supportive team of over 50 employees. The pharmacy requires an additional Staff Pharmacist to cover shifts on Thursdays and Fridays.
Schedule & Hours:
Thursdays & Fridays 9:00 AM to 6:00
PM Responsibilities:
Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) activities to maintain high medication safety standards Perform cycle checking to ensure accuracy in medication orders Verify prescriptions and medication orders thoroughly
Qualifications:
Hold an active Kansas Pharmacist License Minimum of 1 year of pharmacist experience; LTC experience preferred but recent graduates and retail experience will be considered Availability to start immediately This contract opportunity allows you to work within a collaborative environment where many hands make light work, helping ensure the best medication services for nursing home patients.
