Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A community pharmacy located in Kansas is seeking a dedicated full-time Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) to lead daily operations and ensure exceptional patient care within a retail setting. This position offers the opportunity to oversee a well-established pharmacy dispensing approximately 100-150 prescriptions daily, with a committed team including pharmacy technicians and additional support staff.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the Pharmacist-In-Charge of record, managing all day-to-day pharmacy operations. Supervise pharmacists, PRN/contract pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel. Review and verify prescriptions, dispense medications, and provide thorough patient counseling. Ensure compliance with Kansas Board of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, HIPAA, controlled-substance regulations, and other applicable guidelines. Oversee 340B pharmacy operations including regulatory compliance, inventory management, pricing strategies, and reimbursement processes. Manage inventory controls, controlled-substance records, relationships with wholesalers, PSAO/PBM partners, and 340B split-billing workflows. Maintain pharmacy policies, quality standards, and prepare for audits. Handle occasional call-back responsibilities for emergency prescription needs.

Qualifications:

PharmD or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited program. Active, unrestricted Kansas Pharmacist license with eligibility to serve as

PIC. 1-2

years of retail/community pharmacy experience preferred. Prior PIC, supervisory, or lead pharmacist experience is a plus but not required. Experience with 340B program preferred. BLS/AED certification upon hire or ability to obtain within 60 days. Oklahoma licensure/registration if applicable for any cross-border dispensing.
