Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A direct hire opportunity is available for an experienced Clinical Infusion Pharmacist in Leawood, KS. This role involves utilizing your expertise to ensure the safe, effective management of specialty infusion medications while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient care.

Thursday:
8:00 AM - 5:00
PM CST Friday:
8:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST Participation in on-call rotation as determined by pharmacy leadership
Key Responsibilities:
Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, safety, clinical appropriateness, and regulatory compliance. Provide specialty medication counseling, monitor therapies, and address clinical or patient care concerns. Collaborate closely with clinical, nursing, reimbursement, intake, and pharmacy teams to deliver seamless patient care. Oversee pharmacy technicians, supporting training efforts, quality assurance, compliance, and daily pharmacy operations. Participate in audits, accreditation processes, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at safety and continuous enhancement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License in Kansas is required. Strong knowledge of specialty medications and specialty pharmacy operations. A minimum of three years' experience in Specialty Pharmacy, Infusion Pharmacy, Home Infusion, Retail, Community, Mail-Order, or Hospital Pharmacy is preferred. Familiarity with specialty therapy payer requirements, reimbursement processes, and contract obligations. Certification in Good Clinical Practices (GCP) is a plus. Experience with CareTend or similar pharmacy management systems. Additional pharmacist licenses in states such as CA, TX, IL, VA, MD, WV, NV, TN, KY, MI, MA, OR, OK, or ID are advantageous.
