Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A small hospital in Guston, KY is seeking a knowledgeable Pharmacist to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves providing accurate and timely pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting, ensuring the safe distribution of medications and supporting the healthcare team to deliver the best patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, dispense, and review medications prescribed to patients Monitor patient medication therapies for safety and effectiveness Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and manage patient care plans Maintain accurate records of medication use, inventory, and compliance with regulations Educate patients and medical staff about the appropriate use of medications Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist with current state licensure Experience working as a Pharmacist in a hospital environment preferred Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and pharmacy laws Ability to work independently and within a healthcare team Excellent communication and organizational skills
