Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Reviews drug orders and obtains clarification as needed. Regularly consults with medical and nursing staff and others in order to provide a high quality of pharmacy service to the Health System's patients. Oversees and reviews the work of technical support personnel. Assists in the safe and efficient functioning of the Pharmacy Full-time Pharmacists must provide on-call telephone coverage, on a rotating schedule, for after-hours consultation and requests. Cover occasional evenings (no overnights) and weekends as necessary
Requirements:
Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy and at least 1 year of hospital pharmacy work experience. Completion of a Hospital Pharmacy Residency preferred; Specialty Residency in Psychiatric or Pediatric Pharmacy an advantage. Must possess a valid Maryland Pharmacy license or be eligible for reciprocity at time of appointment and continuously during tenure in position. Must comply with all related continuing education requirements. Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to work cooperatively, tactfully, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and health professionals. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
