Located in Southwest Michigan, we are a FQHC providing quality health care to the uninsured and underinsured. Our mission is to provide compassionate healthcare to people in our communities. We are seeking a new Pharmacist in Charge at our Cassopolis location reporting to the Pharmacy Director. This position managed the day-today operations of the pharmacy while providing pharmaceutical services to the patients of Cassopolis Family Clinic and the community utilizing the highest level of professional ethics and standards. Promotes the mission and philosophy of providing quality health care and related services to the medically underserved. Upholds and ensures compliance with all corporate policies and procedures, as well as the mission and values of the organization. What You Will Do Maintains a commitment to the achievement of quality healthcare services by maintaining patient rights, safety, privacy, confidentiality, and excellent customer service philosophy. Dispenses prescription medication to patients and offers expertise in the safe use of prescriptions. Manages the daily operations of the clinic and supervises the staff. Works with the Pharmacy Director on job performance of Staff Pharmacists. Registers with the State of Michigan as the Pharmacist in Charge. Conducts Drug Utilization Review (DUR) and provides necessary clinical interventions. Provides physician education and information/counseling; reconciles drug therapy management issues. Ensures HIPAA compliance at all times by adhering to patient rights, safety, privacy, and confidentiality procedures and protocols. Responsible for Formulary Management - including Therapeutic Interchange or Substitution, and Coverage Review Programs (e.g., Prior Authorization). Ensures quality controls for pharmacy practice by following Standard Operating Procedures and all legal requirements set by the DEA and state pharmacy board. Attends all required meetings as designated by Cassopolis Family Clinic Network or Director of Pharmacy. What You Will Bring Our ideal candidate will have at least 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following skills: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Doctorate of Pharmacy preferred. Minimum of 1 year experience in a retail/community practice setting Management of retail/community pharmacy is required.
