Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This pharmacist role offers a dynamic opportunity to support central pharmacy operations within a hospital setting in Ozark, MO. The assignment is a 13-week contract with a strong possibility for extension. Four openings are available across different shifts: one for 1st shift (10-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off), two for 2nd shift (10-hour shifts, 7 days on/7 days off), and one for 3rd shift nights (7 days on/7 days off). This position primarily focuses on product verification using EPIC EMR, including verifying and checking medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and other pharmacy inventory. Responsibilities include coordinating workflow within the central pharmacy, verifying medication products such as IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, and ensuring code carts are restocked correctly. The pharmacist will oversee and coordinate the workflow of pharmacy technicians, occasionally redirecting their tasks, though formal supervisory responsibilities are not included. The central pharmacy team consists of 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians on the day shift, and 2 pharmacists with 5-6 technicians on the evening shift. Training is set for 2-3 weeks depending on the pharmacist's experience and capabilities. Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
Missouri Pharmacist Licensure required At least 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates will be considered Experience or willingness to work with
EPIC EMR
system Ability to manage workflow within a busy central pharmacy Strong attention to detail for medication verification
