Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A hospital pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacist to support evening operations in the central pharmacy on a contract basis. This role is essential in verifying medication products and ensuring efficient workflow within the acute care pharmacy setting.

Location:

Springfield, MO (central pharmacy in an acute care hospital) Evening shift: 2:30 pm to 12:30 am, 7 days on/7 days off (schedule may vary)

Responsibilities:

Verify and check medications using the

EPIC EMR

system, including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, kits, crash carts, and prepack items Coordinate the workflow and operational tasks of pharmacy technicians during the evening shift Ensure code carts and medication kits are adequately stocked and maintained Oversee central pharmacy operations during assigned shift without direct supervision responsibilities

Qualifications:

Valid Missouri Pharmacist license is required At least 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates with relevant skills will be considered Proficiency in using EPIC or similar electronic medication record systems preferred Strong attention to detail in medication verification and workflow coordination

Training & Team Environment:

Training period of 2-3 weeks centered on product verification activities Join a dedicated pharmacy team consisting of multiple pharmacists and technicians working across day and evening shifts Evening shift pharmacist leads central pharmacy workflow and supports the technician team This assignment is a 13-week contract with the potential for extension.
