Key Responsibilities:
Verify and check medications, kits, crash carts, prepack items, and other pharmaceutical products using EPIC dispense prep. Coordinate workflow within the central pharmacy to ensure smooth operations. Oversee medication product checks including IVs, premade IVs, creams, insulin pens, and code cart restocking. Monitor and redirect pharmacy technicians' workflow as needed; no direct supervision responsibility over individuals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Missouri Pharmacist licensure required. A minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; new graduates are welcome to apply. Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record system is essential. Ability to quickly learn and adapt to product verification procedures, supported by 2-3 weeks of training.
Work Environment:
You will be the primary pharmacist overseeing central pharmacy operations, collaborating with a well-staffed team that includes 5 pharmacists and 10 technicians on the day shift, and additional staff on the evening shift. The other pharmacists focus primarily on order review within the electronic health record system.
