Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract To Hire A pharmacy in Washington, NC, is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13-week contract, with the potential to transition to a permanent role based on performance. Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Rotating weekends

Key Responsibilities:

Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently Monitor patient medication compliance and identify patterns of over-usage Ensure legal compliance regarding the supply and dispensing of medicines Verify prescribed medications are appropriate for patients Maintain confidential and accurate patient records in compliance with regulations Advise patients regarding medication usage, potential reactions, and answer their questions Offer consultations on prescription and over-the-counter medications, including storage, dosage, side effects, and drug interactions Provide patient services such as smoking cessation programs, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management Educate patients on the correct use and handling of medical devices like blood pressure monitors and glucose meters Compound medications for internal and external use and prepare sterile solutions correctly Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and clerks Manage inventory effectively to ensure adequate pharmaceutical and medical supplies Identify drug-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare providers Collaborate with the healthcare team to promote optimal patient care

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
