Job Description

Full job description Metropolitan Community Health Services (MCHS) DBA Agape Health Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that employs a patient centered approach, providing access to high quality, affordable primary care, dental care, and behavioral health preventive and wellness services to people of all ages regardless of their financial or insurance status or the ability to pay in Beaufort, Martin, and Washington counties. The main office is located in the heart of the historic district right alongside the beautiful waterfront. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Staff Pharmacist at our in-clinic pharmacy in Washington, North Carolina. The staff pharmacist works with the pharmacy team to dispense patient medications. The pharmacist also collaborates with our onsite physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure that the medications prescribed for patients contribute to the best possible health outcome. The pharmacist performs clinical duties in addition to the dispensing of medications.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing; reviewing and verifying medications to be dispensed to patients. Evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the patients' medications. Counsel patients on medication use and adverse reactions. Perform Medication Therapy Management (MTM) through the Outcomes system. Make therapeutic recommendations to clinicians to address healthcare gaps. Collaborate with patients' physicians and other health care providers in selecting the medication therapy that best meets a patient's needs and contributes effectively to the overall therapeutic goals, using the EHR. Be available to physicians and other health providers for therapeutic consultations. Refer the patient to his or her physician or other health professionals to address specific health, wellness, or social services concerns as they arise. Support the Pharmacy Manager to effectively execute the daily onsite pharmacy tasks. Should be available and willing to float to all three of our sites when needed. Provides the necessary supervision to pharmacy technicians in the absence of the pharmacy manager.
Pay:
$61.85 - $63.00 per hour
