Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract Support inpatient pharmacy operations at a critical access hospital serving a rural community. This contract role requires an experienced pharmacist to manage medication use across various hospital departments including ICU, Labor & Delivery, Medical/Surgical units, and the Emergency Department.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00/7:30 a.m. to 4:30/5:00 p.m. (40 hours/week) Rotating weekends every third weekend, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently verify and dispense medications to inpatient units Collaborate with healthcare teams in ICU, L&D, Medical/Surgical, and ED settings Manage pharmacy operations during weekend shifts without onsite support Utilize Meditech electronic health records; familiarity with Omnicell systems is a plus
Qualifications:
2 to 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience required Prior exposure to a Critical Access Hospital environment strongly preferred Ability to work independently and handle weekend shifts confidently Must live at least 50 miles away from the facility to qualify Previous experience with rural hospital settings advantageous
