Hours:
Monday through Friday 9-5:30pm, 9:30-6pm The Pharmacist Supervisor will be responsible for, but not limited to: Has knowledgeable understanding of current medication information, health car concepts and all regulations relative to the practices of outpatient and institutional pharmacy. Interprets and clarifies new and refill order requests with 100% accuracy to ensure appropriateness and maintain patient safety using the patient profile and direct facility contact. Prepares or causes to be prepared, safe, neat, complete medication orders with 100% accuracy Provides and is responsible for final check on all prepared medication to insure completeness with 100% accuracy. Provides facility support and suggestions. When appropriate documentation including incident reports, controlled drug sheets, etc. Provides routine, rotating, on-call, and Saturday/Sunday coverage Routinely monitors workflow, suggests adjustments, requests assistance or directs technicians as needed to maintain smooth running operations. Provides secondary pharmacy activities & responsibilities (i.e. purchasing, clinical, etc.) as needed. Oversees and is responsible for the daily operation of dispensing pharmacy activities including the supervision of Staff Pharmacists, Data Entry Technicians, & Production Technicians Assigns staff daily tasks and effectively prioritizes work to assure that all required medications, supplies and services are provided correctly & completely within required timeframe.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
Professional Experience:
Registered Pharmacist in the state of operations 2 years of Pharmacist experience, at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity Familiarity with Pharmacy systems Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, communication and respect
