Responsibilities Lead and manage the pharmacy team, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient service Oversee medication dispensing, compounding medications, and IV infusion procedures following USP 797 guidelines for aseptic technique Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and pharmaceutical regulatory standards Conduct patient assessments, medication reviews, and clinical consultations to optimize therapeutic outcomes across diverse settings including community and hospital environments Manage inventory control, including medication procurement, storage, expiration tracking, and inventory management systems Supervise pharmacy operations related to medical management programs, immunizations, pain management protocols, and acute care services Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Pharmacy Information Systems (PIS), ensuring confidentiality policies are rigorously followed Skills Extensive experience practicing as a licensed pharmacist with a strong background in clinical pharmacy, hospital settings, or community pharmacies Critical care experience with skills in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV insertion or infusion techniques Proficiency in pharmacy software platforms, EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems, and EHR systems for efficient workflow management Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology principles, drug regulation policies, and healthcare compliance standards Demonstrated ability to lead managing pharmacy teams effectively while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care Strong communication skills for client interaction, staff training, and collaboration with healthcare providers Basic Life Support (BLS) certification along with expertise in aseptic techniques and USP 797 sterile compounding standards Familiarity with pharmacy operations including inventory management, drug regulation laws at state and federal levels, and medical terminology Join us as our Pharmacist in Charge to elevate pharmaceutical care delivery through leadership excellence!
