Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Supervising Pharmacist to join our team. The Supervising Pharmacist will oversee a small retail pharmacy team, ensuring effective medication management and adherence to regulatory standards. This role involves direct patient interaction and emphasizes leadership, prescription review, and team supervision within a focused retail environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor degree of Pharmacy or PharmD degree and possess a vaccine license, enabling them to support patient care and compliance with health regulations.Duties:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patient medication therapy for effectiveness and adverse reactions
- Maintain accurate patient records and profiles
- Participate in medication therapy management programs
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacist license in the state of New York
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations
- Proficiency in medical terminology and physiology
- Familiarity with managed care practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
