Job Overview At Market 32/Price Chopper Supermarkets, our pharmacists play a vital role in improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will provide exceptional patient care through safe and accurate medication dispensing, clinical services, and personalized counseling while leading a high-performing pharmacy team. What You'll Do Deliver exceptional patient care by accurately reviewing, preparing, verifying, and dispensing prescription medications. Provide personalized medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers, promoting safe and effective medication use. Collaborate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and resolve clinical concerns. Deliver pharmacist-provided clinical services, including immunizations, Medication Therapy Management (MTM), wellness programs, health screenings, and other patient care initiatives. Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy laws, DEA regulations, accreditation standards, and company policies and procedures. Manage pharmacy inventory, including medication ordering, storage, rotation, and controlled substance accountability to ensure product availability and regulatory compliance. Lead, coach, and develop pharmacy technicians, interns, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Promote a safe, organized, and efficient pharmacy environment that supports patient safety, quality, and operational excellence. Perform other duties as assigned to support pharmacy operations and patient care. Minimum Qualifications Active Pharmacist license in good standing in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure as required by state law. Current immunization certification or willingness to obtain certification within the required timeframe. Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driver eligibility requirements. Participation in the Company's Driver License Monitoring Program. Education & Experience Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy. Working knowledge of pharmacy management systems, pharmacy information technology, and automated dispensing systems. Strong understanding of federal and state pharmacy regulations, medication safety practices, and third-party payer processes. Proven ability to prioritize work, delegate responsibilities, and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with patients, providers, and colleagues. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
