Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist to support their inpatient hospital pharmacy team in Bucyrus, OH. This contract role focuses on delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care within a hospital inpatient setting, ensuring patient safety, medication accuracy, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medications in compliance with hospital policies and regulations. Review and verify prescriptions and medication orders for hospitalized patients. Monitor patient medication therapies and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize treatment outcomes. Provide medication counseling and education to patients and clinical staff. Maintain accurate records and ensure the safe handling of pharmaceuticals. Support inventory management and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Desired Experience:
Licensure as a Pharmacist with credentials to practice in Ohio. Experience in hospital inpatient pharmacy settings preferred. Strong knowledge of drug therapies, hospital protocols, and inpatient medication management. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Commitment to patient safety and continuous learning.
