Contract Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist to join the Med Surg Pharmacy team at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio . The ideal candidate will have strong inpatient pharmacy experience and be comfortable working in a large medical-center environment. This role involves medication order verification, sterile product checking, pharmacy operations, clinical support, and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities Review, verify, prioritize, and process medication orders using Epic Ensure appropriate medication dose, frequency, administration times, and patient safety Identify potential drug allergies, interactions, incompatibilities, and other medication-related concerns Accurately dispense properly labeled medications following required scanning procedures Follow current USP and USP standards Perform and oversee sterile compounding activities Check sterile products, dose medications, and medication orders Work with IV Room operations and pharmacy support services Monitor and manage pharmacy inventory and medication supplies Check and manage Pyxis medications Respond to medication-related questions from patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals Provide clinical support including antibiotic dosing and medication consultations Support patients requiring complex therapies, including ECMO and CRRT Maintain pharmacy records in accordance with state, federal, and departmental regulations Supervise and coordinate pharmacy support personnel as assigned Follow hospital safety and pharmacy policies Participate in quality improvement and problem-solving activities Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD Active Ohio Pharmacist License required 3+ years of hospital pharmacist experience preferred Experience in a large medical-center/hospital environment Epic experience required Strong pharmacy practice skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Experience Experience with: Sterile compounding IV Room Order verification Pyxis Dose checking Antibiotic dosing
