Category Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A new pilot staffing partnership presents an excellent opportunity for reliable pharmacists to provide ongoing PRN coverage at a retail grocery pharmacy setting. Initially starting with one location in Canton, Ohio, this position may expand to additional sites based on success. Located in Lakewood, OH, this per diem role offers flexible scheduling with a focus on consistent availability. The pharmacy operates using McKesson EnterpriseRx, handling an average volume of approximately 800 prescriptions per week, supported by 2-3 pharmacy technicians per shift.
Responsibilities include:
Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently in a retail pharmacy environment. Collaborating with pharmacy technicians and staff to ensure smooth workflow. Providing excellent customer service and patient counseling. Adhering to pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Floating between area locations as needed, demonstrating adaptability.
Qualifications and desired experience:
Active Ohio Pharmacist license is required. Recent retail pharmacy experience is preferred to ensure familiarity with workflow and patient interaction. Ability and willingness to float between multiple nearby locations if necessary. Dependability for PRN shifts and consistent availability are highly preferred. Training & onboarding is provided prior to the first per diem shift, along with a pharmacy smock to support professional appearance.
