Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Job Type Contract A pharmacy professional with hospital experience is sought for a 13+ week contract position in Logan, OH, supporting a 25-bed facility with specialty areas including Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics. This role involves comprehensive pharmacy responsibilities within a hospital setting, utilizing the EPIC order entry system.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and verify medication orders using EPIC, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with clinical staff in the Emergency Department, Infusion services, and Orthopedics to optimize patient care. Participate in on-call rotation providing after-hours pharmacy support. Handle medication preparation, dispensing, and documentation in accordance with hospital protocols. Monitor inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Active Ohio Pharmacist license is required. Minimum of 1 year hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Experience with EPIC order entry system highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medication therapy management and hospital pharmacy operations. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Schedule:
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Includes occasional Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. On-call responsibilities after some shifts.
