Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Albany, OR, is seeking a skilled pharmacist with a focus on inpatient hospital pharmacy services. This contract opportunity requires a professional committed to providing accurate and efficient medication management to support patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, dispense, and distribute medications in accordance with prescriptions and hospital protocols. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy management. Monitor patient medication profiles for drug interactions, contraindications, and efficacy. Maintain accurate records and documentation to comply with regulatory requirements. Provide medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare staff as needed. Participate in inventory management and control to ensure availability of medications.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid pharmacist licensure to practice in Oregon. Experience in a hospital inpatient or similar acute care setting. Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and hospital pharmacy operations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work within multidisciplinary teams. Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
