Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Contract This role offers a part-time long-term care pharmacist position providing critical support across skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice environments. The contract is initially set for one month with a strong possibility of extension, requiring a commitment of 24 hours per week. Operating systems in use include QS1, Docutrack, and PCC.

Cranberry Township, PA Schedule:

24 hours per week Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for multiple care settings Check packaged medications including blister packs, and sterile and non-sterile medications Provide clinical support by answering phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians Count controlled substances and maintain accurate documentation in a perpetual inventory Inspect emergency medication boxes regularly

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy Registered pharmacist with an active Pennsylvania license in good standing Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; long-term care experience preferred Ability to perform tasks requiring sitting, standing, fine motor skills, and visual acuity Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds when necessary This opportunity is well-suited for a pharmacist seeking a consistent part-time role in long-term care settings.
