Pharmacist Job Type Contract A Pennsylvania-licensed pharmacist is needed to support pharmacy operations in Cranberry Township. This contract role offers a 1-month assignment with potential for extension, including consideration of an 8-week term. The schedule is full-time at 40 hours per week, within pharmacy hours Monday through Friday 8:00 AM
6:00 PM, Saturday 8:00 AM
4:00 PM, and Sunday 8:00 AM
3:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing facilities, personal care facilities, and hospice services. Check packaged medications including blister packs, as well as sterile and non-sterile medication preparations. Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, addressing clinical questions. Perform counts and documentation of controlled substances in the perpetual inventory. Inspect emergency medication boxes for compliance and readiness.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required. Current and valid Pharmacist license in Pennsylvania, in good standing. Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience, with preference for long-term care exposure. Physical ability to sit or stand as needed, exhibit fine motor skills and visual acuity, and lift up to 30 pounds. Familiarity with pharmacy systems including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC is expected.
