Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
- Provide medication counseling to patients
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
- Monitor patient medication therapy for safety and effectiveness
- Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate interventions
- Participate in pain management and acute care initiatives
- Assist in medical management of patients, including pediatrics
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy to ensure appropriate medication administration
- Collaborate with emergency room (ER) staff for timely medication delivery
- Contribute to utilization review processes for medication utilization optimization
- Provide pharmaceutical care in intensive care unit (ICU) settings
- Deliver exceptional patient service and address patient concerns
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution
- Active pharmacist license in the state of employment
- Strong knowledge of pain management, acute care, and medical management practices
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques
- Familiarity with utilization review processes and protocols
- Ability to work effectively in an emergency room (ER) environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
