Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Per Diem A Per Diem pharmacist opportunity is available in Gibsonia, PA, offering approximately 24 hours per week with a Monday through Friday schedule between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM. This assignment is initially for one month with the potential for extension.

Responsibilities:

Review and verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for skilled nursing, personal care facilities, and hospice. Inspect blister-packed medications as well as sterile and non-sterile pharmaceuticals. Respond to phone inquiries from nursing facilities, hospice nurses, and physicians, providing clinical information as needed. Accurately count controlled substances and document them in the perpetual inventory. Monitor and check emergency medication boxes. Utilize operating systems, including QS1, Docutrack, and PCC, throughout daily tasks.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. Active and good standing pharmacist license in Pennsylvania. Minimum of 1 year of pharmacy experience; long-term care (LTC) experience preferred. Physical ability to sit, stand, and perform fine motor tasks with good visual acuity. Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
