RESPONSIBILITIES
Fills prescription orders for all medicinal agents; oral, topical, parenteral, etc. Determines prescription assignment for dosage, drug choice, administration, and possible reactions/interactions Supervises technicians in prescription data entry, packing and compounding medications, label and card preparation and assists when necessary. Verifies finished work of all employees who are not pharmacists. Directs timely delivery of medications and supplies to the facilities. Answers drug related questions and concerns and assists with problem solving for personnel, nursing staff, and patient families in area of expertise. May assist Pharmacy Director with special projects as needed and assumes responsibility in his/her absence. Rotates on-call duty during off hours. Compounds prescriptions as needed. Assists business office with billing problems. May consult nursing facilities according to state and federal regulations when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in pharmacy Registered pharmacist licensed in the state of Pennsylvania in good standing. Sitting, Standing, fine motor skills, visual acuity. Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
