Category Pharmacy-Pharmacist in Charge Job Type Contract An interim pharmacist is needed to serve as Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a small inpatient micro-hospital with 10 licensed beds. This unique opportunity requires a strong background in inpatient pharmacy and Pennsylvania state licensure. The facility operates a 10-bed emergency department and a 10-bed inpatient unit, providing a focused environment where you will be the sole pharmacist responsible for all pharmacy functions.

Monday to Friday, day shift
On-Call:
Required, though calls are expected to be rare
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the Pharmacist in Charge with full operational responsibility for the hospital pharmacy Conduct routine audits and ensure compliance with regulations Manage inventory and restocking procedures with support of Omnicell automation Utilize Cerner for order entry processing Work independently as the sole pharmacist on site without technician support Participate in remote training provided by the local PIC and Pharmacy Director to ensure smooth transition and ongoing compliance
Desired Qualifications:
Active pharmacist license in Pennsylvania Proven inpatient pharmacy experience, preferably in a hospital or micro-hospital setting Ability to manage pharmacy operations autonomously and take PIC responsibilities seriously Familiarity with Cerner and Omnicell systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided Strong organizational skills to manage audits, restocking, and operational workflows efficiently This contract position offers an excellent chance for a pharmacist comfortable working independently to lead pharmacy operations in a small but dynamic healthcare setting.
